BAUMA Booth Opening Update

China PacifiCarbide has been working with all means possible to get to the BAUMA Show. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get any of our staff there yet. The earliest possible date we can officially open our booth is Thursday, April 22. We will keep informed as we learn more.

We are informed from the BAUMA staff that we will have a hostess in place to accept your contact information at the show. You may always contact us direct via phone or email for any information or inquiries.

BAUMA 2010 UPDATE

US CUSTOMS, ISF / 10+2 ENFORCEMENT BEGINS... 

Beginning January 01, 2010 US Customs will start enforcing the new ISF / 10+2 requirements on all ocean shipments destined for the USA.  The ISF requirement mandates strict requirements and filing deadlines in attempt to combat high risk and dangerous cargo from entering the USA.   This law has been in effect since January 26, 2009.  The law was in “phase-in” status for the 2009 calendar year, in which warnings, not penalties, were issued to importers who failed to meet the stringent requirements.   The penalty of $5,000/per shipment will now be enforced by US Customs. 

Since January, 2009 CPC has been working diligently with US Customs, shipping lines, forwarders & agents to become ISF compliant.  We feel that all the necessary tools are now in place to completely satisfy Customs new law.  We believe a large portion of the international shipping community is grossly unprepared to comply with ISF.  We expect the new law will begin generating huge revenues and forcing extreme hardships on less experienced & unprepared importers.  CPC clients can rest assure, we take on the full burden of the new ISF / 10+2 law, for product we supply.
